Since its been awhile since iv'e had a sick little chicken in this house, i immediately drew a blank, the only thing i remembered was to let the fever be, as long as she was acting fine and still nursing. Breastmilk up the nose (works wonders) for boogies, wipe or suction out. LOTS of snuggling & nursing, and last but not least a nice long soak in a Lavender Epsom Salt bath. Im pretty sure theres more i could have done, but i figure id start with the basics. After the bath we snuggled and before we went to sleep her fever was gone! , and today, its still not returned, so far so good :)

Luna's First Cold :"(
So far, we are in the clear with illnesses and it's already December. Other than a 5 day cold Lenny had last month, that i ever so gently killed with Elderberry, Probiotics and Raw honey, things have been good. That was until....dun, dun, dun....we came across a set of germs while out on Sunday. For some reason, children are oddly attracted to other babies and children, and the first thing they do is go for are the hands. It was like radar went off, and i run in slow motion trying to DO THIS! but to the little girls hands. Usually im not a germaphobe, but i couldn't help but to notice the child's hacking cough, as if she were either getting over an ugly cold, or 2 packs on menthol lights. Needless to say, Luna was fussy Tuesday afternoon, and by night fall she had a fever and nose lava O.o
